Members of our Lucas/Eilers team traveled to Paris in January to attend Paris Deco Off and Maison & Objet. It was a fabulous opportunity for us to see the expansive collection of exhibitors and the interesting Paris shops and showrooms, not to mention what fun it was to attend the delightful parties and events. Of course, we also took time to explore this amazing city and all it has to offer!
The Samuel & Sons party was hosted by Timothy Corrigan at his beautiful Paris apartment. One wall entirely covered in fresh pink roses and Samuel and Sons tassels made a welcoming focal point. Great food, silhouette artists and various entertainers added to the merriment.
Wouldn’t you love to be a guest in these charming guest rooms?
We immediately knew we were in the right neighborhood when we saw the colorful fabric lamps shades hanging in the streets. Pierre Frey introduced some fabulous new fabrics and wallcoverings.
We had a lovely brunch and later a great late night gathering with our friends at de Gournay. The interiors of Claude’s apartment over the shop have recently been transformed by Alessandra Branca with the most beautiful deGournay embroidered fabrics and wallcoverings.
Holland & Sherry hosted an elegant dinner cruise on the Seine. We were delighted to be seated with fellow Houston designer’s Chandos Dodson Epley, Courtney Hill, and Courtnay Elias just to name a few.
It’s always a treat to see Gary Glant and preview his newest fabrics!
Frank Gehry’s amazing architecture for the Foundation Louis Vuitton was breathtaking. The Schiele and Basquiat exhibits provided a very full afternoon of enjoyment.
Who doesn’t love to wander the streets of Paris? Notre Dame and the Rodin Museum are two of our favorite stops.
And of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to Hermes!
Until next time, Paris!
