Sarah Brooks Eilers, a fifth generation Texan, grew up around gracious homes, timeless antiques, and beautiful gardens. Inspired by her southern heritage, Sarah’s design philosophy respects the past, embraces the current, and looks with vision and creativity towards the future. Her years of experience and refined eye enable Sarah to curate the best materials and sophisticated palettes, incorporating them into her award-winning projects. Her designs can be best described as timeless transitional, with an eye on today’s demand for comfort and versatility. Sarah answers these client needs with projects that span from Houston’s elegant neighborhoods to vacation getaways coast to coast.

Sarah received her degree in Interior Design from The University of Texas at Austin and spent the early years of her career at The Bryan Design Associates. It was here that she developed a keen design aesthetic and built invaluable vendor relationships. Sarah Eilers’ industry affiliations include professional membership in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and NCIDQ which she earned in 1985.  She is a member of the Texas Association of Interior Design and Design Leadership Network.  Sarah is also a Past President of Design Trust, Ltd. and a registered interior designer in Texas.

From an early age, Sandra Drews Lucas has harbored an appreciation for design, beauty and order. Over the years, she has developed a design philosophy which employs the principles and elements of design in each of her memorable, timeless and innovative interiors. An integrated team approach and clear assessment of her client’s vision ensures the success of each project. Sandy’s distinctive, award-winning designs have repeatedly been recognized from the East Coast to the West.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin, Sandy moved back to her native Houston and began building a strong foundation in design working with an architectural firm specializing in hospitality. In addition, she spent nearly fifteen years as a project designer with The Bryan Design Associates and taught Design and Drafting at the Art Institute of Houston. In 1995, she and Sarah Eilers founded Lucas/Eilers Design Associates, focusing on exceptional residential design. Sandy’s designs integrate a responsible respect for sustainable energy and environmental concerns and have frequently won ASID Awards for Green Design.

Sandy has been a professional member of ASID and NCIDQ since 1982, is a Registered Interior Designer in Texas and a LEED Green Associate. She is a member of the Design Leadership Network, as well as a life member and past chairman of the advisory council of the University of Texas School of Architecture. Sandy enjoys volunteering her time to various philanthropic design committees and serving on the Board of the Texas Governor’s Mansion.

As a sixth generation Texan, Ellen Marie Eilers grew up in the world of design surrounded by family heirlooms and an antique Serapi color palette. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she pursued a career in interior design. Ellen earned her Bachelors of Fine Art in Interior Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her design aesthetic pays homage to her mother’s classic touch while also combining a unique use of color, pattern, and texture to produce the next generation of timelessness.

Olivia has experience in residential design focusing on space planning, millwork, and interior finish selection.  She previously practiced in Dallas and Miami, designing projects in the Bahamas, Coral Cables, Maine, Possum Kingdom Lake, and the Texas Panhandle. Olivia enjoys the blending of architecture and interiors to create an inviting, livable, and beautiful space. She received a Master of Architecture from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Baylor University.

With nine years of experience in commercial design, specializing in corporate environments, Samantha brings a fresh and versatile approach to her projects. Her meticulous attention to flow, function, and the interplay of patterns and textures ensures that each space she creates is both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. Renowned for her ability to connect with clients and translate their vision into reality, Samantha infuses her designs with thoughtful details and a signature style. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with her two daughters, Margot and Reese, and her Goldendoodles, Ty and Bogie.

Allie grew up in Houston, Texas and interned for Lucas/Eilers Design in high school. That internship fostered her passion for design and led Allie to the University of Georgia where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design. Upon graduating, Allie returned to Houston and rejoined Lucas/Eilers Design where she shares her love of mixing palettes and patterns with every client she serves. She particularly enjoys working with light blues and greens, although she never shies away from an unexpected burst of color, and her favorite part of the design process is install day when she can experience the excitement of seeing every detail come together. When not in the office preparing her latest concept, you can find Allie painting watercolor cards for her friends and family.

Born and raised in Boerne, Texas, Victoria (“Tori”) discovered her passion for interior design while working on a middle school project before attending high school where she was offered the opportunity to learn more about careers in interior design. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Texas State University while excelling in two residential design internships. With her attention to detail, highly developed technical skills, and client-focused approach to design, Tori has a natural ability to guide a project seamlessly from concept to completion. Her favorite part of the design process is the concept stage where her creativity can be boundless and the design direction begins to take shape. New to Houston, Tori spends her free time exploring the city with her dog Hollie and catching up with her family back home.

Sarah recently moved from Michigan to Houston, bringing a deep-rooted passion for interior design with her. From a young age, she was captivated by rearranging furniture and redesigning her room. This early fascination blossomed into a lifelong commitment to crafting functional and beautiful spaces.

A Central Michigan University graduate, Sarah honed her skills through the university’s interior design program, which emphasized both creativity and practicality. She believes in creating warm, inviting environments with a touch of vibrancy that reflect the unique personalities of her clients. Playing at the club level at Central Michigan University, her experience on the volleyball team taught her the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance—qualities she brings to every design project. Beyond design, Sarah enjoys exploring new recipes as she mixes things up in the kitchen.

Jill graduated from Duke University with an engineering degree followed by a MBA from University of Houston.  Her career experience working in Conoco’s Marketing department as both Coordinator of Supply and Distribution and Supervisor of the Order Room/Customer Service gave her the foundation needed to be an effective Procurement Manager with an attention to detail and customer satisfaction.

Growing up just down the street from Decorative Center Houston, Ashley comes by her eye for luxury design naturally. In addition to visiting DCH frequently with her mother, a freelance designer, her father launched a marble business as he was entering retirement, making it clear that a passion for home design runs in the family. She carried that passion for design to Texas Christian University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising with a minor in Business. Following graduation, Ashley dedicated nearly a decade to a career in recruitment for the Big Five accounting firms, fostering a unique ability to manage high-volume work in an extremely detail-oriented environment. Inspired to make a change, she returned to the world of design and spent eight years in a number of Designer Trade Showrooms building strong trade relationships and growing her knowledge and expertise. Ashley manages the procurement process through strong communication, a keen attention to detail, and her commitment to providing an exceptional client experience from start to finish.

A Houston native, Julia earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Christian University. Before joining Lucas/Eilers, Julia worked as a Commercial Bank Underwriter at several large financial institutions, including BBVA Compass and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. She also spent two years abroad, serving as a volunteer for numerous community outreach programs in Papua New Guinea and worked as the Director of Business for a Chicago-based interior design firm. Julia’s strong finance and accounting background, coupled with her people and organizational skills allow her to excel in her role as Business Office Manager.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Cami attended The University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development. Prior to joining Lucas/Eilers Design, she supported a marketing firm in Dallas before stepping away to raise her two children. Cami grew up in a uniquely designed home that gave rise to an appreciation for interesting architecture and design, and she now enjoys working alongside the focused team of creatives at Lucas/Eilers Design supporting daily office operations.
